Tom Kivlehan is the Green Party councillor for the Ballybrack Ward .

Tom, the eldest of a large family, was raised in Cabinteely and educated in Presentation College, Glasthule, Dunlaoghaire. He has a business background having worked, 10 years in Ireland, at senior management level in the Retail sector and 13 years in the UK and Europe, with various international travel companies in the Tourism sector. He now works as a consultant.

Having returned to Ireland after a number of years abroad, I have seen a great expansion of the Irish economy and the tremendous wealth created, but I feel that much of this has been wasted. The Ballybrack ward has seen many changes over the last decade and is one of the fastest growing wards in the county but it still lacks a proper integrated public transport system and good community facilities for its young population. The present local government has failed to create a vibrant and sustainable environment for the community it represents. it needs to change!
